Global capture

Command	Purpose
`merion factory setup`	Detect local sources, create the computer-level lake, and run the initial compact catalog.
`merion factory setup --json`	Return machine-readable capabilities, approval boundaries, and one next setup action.
`merion factory setup --enable-live-capture`	Explicitly install the low-priority macOS receiver during setup.
`merion lake status`	Show source availability, event counts, and index size.
`merion lake sync`	Catalog source references without copying raw content.
`merion lake sync --since 24h --deep`	Index event-level references inside an explicit time window.
`merion lake timeline`	Read a content-free, correlated human/agent timeline.
`merion lake label --name ... --since ...`	Add a human-accountable label to a captured work window.
`merion lake serve`	Run the event-driven localhost OTLP receiver in the foreground.
`merion lake service install`	Start the low-priority receiver at login on macOS.
`merion lake service status`	Verify the LaunchAgent and localhost health endpoint.
`merion lake codex-config`	Print, but do not apply, the authenticated Codex telemetry configuration. Treat its local bearer token as private.

Global capture is independent from a workflow factory. See global capture for data boundaries and attribution limits.

Governed cloud analysis

Command	Purpose
`merion cloud status`	Show local-only or cloud-enabled state, allowed tiers, and outbox counts.
`merion cloud configure --workspace ... --owner ...`	Create an explicit metadata-only policy. It uploads nothing and stores no credential.
`merion cloud plan --since 24h`	Preview eligible content-free references without mutation.
`merion cloud queue --since 24h --approve`	Queue an immutable manifest locally. The private-alpha build performs no network upload.
`merion cloud disable`	Deny new plans and queueing while preserving local evidence and prior outbox records.

The production transport remains a separate authenticated boundary. It is designed for tenant-scoped, resumable content-addressed upload and committed receipts. See governed cloud sync.

Guided factory workflow

Command	Purpose
`merion init [path]`	Initialize or resume an Intelligence Factory.
`merion doctor`	Check whether the factory is ready for governed capture.
`merion next`	Return one evidence-backed next action.
`merion work start`	Start a genuine work episode without writing JSON.
`merion work close`	Finish the episode and record human outcome evidence.

All guided commands support --help. Commands intended for agentic callers generally support --json and explicit flags for decisions that an interactive user would otherwise enter.

Experiment contracts

Command	Purpose
`merion experiment validate <file>`	Validate a versioned `ExperimentSpec`.
`merion run <file>`	Execute the current deterministic local dry-run lifecycle.

Evidence and task formation

Command group	Purpose
`merion capture`	Lower-level versioned work-evidence capture and inspection.
`merion evidence`	Register governed evidence policies and exposure records.
`merion task`	Analyze cohorts, qualify candidates, build, approve, and audit evaluation tasks.

Interoperability

Command group	Purpose
`merion interoperability`	Import ATIF trajectories and exchange audited tasks/results with Harbor.

merion interop is an alias for merion interoperability.

The CLI is not currently published to a public package registry. Contributors link it from a Merion source checkout:
